🍫 Pietra's 5-Minute Microwave Chocolate Cake (Ep. 47)
This time, we're with Pietra (@pietrabialeski) to make a recipe that's perfect for whenever a chocolate cake craving hits! 🍫❤️
A microwave chocolate cake, super quick and easy to make — ready in under 5 minutes! ⏱️😋
Ingredients
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🫒 2 tablespoons oil
- 🥛 4 tablespoons milk
- 🍬 4 tablespoons sugar
- 🍫 4 tablespoons Nescau (chocolate drink powder), sifted
- 🌾 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, sifted
- 🥄 ½ tablespoon baking powder
- 🍫 To finish: melted chocolate and plenty of chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the egg, oil, and milk.
- Add the sugar and mix well.
- Sift the Nescau in — this keeps the batter lump-free — and stir to combine.
- Sift in the flour too and mix until smooth and even.
- Add the baking powder last, stirring just until combined — don't overmix.
- Pour the batter into a microwave-safe dish, leaving room at the top — it rises a lot.
- Microwave for about 3 minutes. If the center still looks undercooked, add 30 more seconds — timing varies by microwave wattage.
- For the topping (optional), melt chopped chocolate with a splash of milk in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds so it doesn't burn.
- Unmold the cake, pour the chocolate over the top, and finish with plenty of sprinkles.
Tip: sifting the Nescau and flour before mixing keeps the batter smooth — this recipe needs no mixer or blender, just a bowl and a spoon.
