About the Product:
For a good chimarrão, in addition to a good Bomba and quality Yerba Mate, you need to choose the ideal gourd, the one that will best fit into your daily routine. If you enjoy drinking your mate alone or with your family, we have the gourd in the ideal size for you.
The gourd has a characteristic that other gourd materials do not have: it is porous and absorbs the flavor of the yerba mate, adding a more special flavor to the chimarrão.
As it is a natural product, it may contain variations in color, size and weight.
The size range is: 13 to 15 cm.
This specific product is made from Porongo, with an epoxy base. The mouthpiece is burnt to prevent impurities from penetrating the Porongo.
How to clean your Gourd:
The gourd must be cleaned with special care to prevent it from becoming moldy or imparting a bad taste to the chimarrão itself.
After enjoying your mate, remove all the herb used in the chimarrão with a spoon and wash the gourd with plenty of water.
Take it, remove excess water with a towel and place it to dry in a well-ventilated place, without sunlight and without covering its mouth.
How to Cure Your Gourd:
Everyone has their own way of enjoying their gourd, but we at Bortonaggio have a very easy way for you to do it. As soon as you receive your gourd, add two spoons of yerba mate to the inside of the gourd and fill it with water up to the top. Let it sit for a few hours, then simply wash and enjoy your new gourd.
