📝 Sagu Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups 100% grape juice
  • ½ cup sagu (tapioca pearls)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 8 whole cloves

🥛 Cream Ingredients (optional)

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 strained egg yolks
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

👩🍳 How to Prepare the Sagu

1️⃣ In a medium saucepan, combine water and grape juice.
2️⃣ Add cinnamon stick and cloves.
3️⃣ Bring to a boil over medium heat.
4️⃣ Add the sagu pearls and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent (about 20–25 minutes).
5️⃣ If needed, add a little hot water during cooking.
6️⃣ Remove cinnamon and cloves.
7️⃣ Let cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

🍮 How to Prepare the Cream

1️⃣ In a saucepan, mix milk, condensed milk, egg yolks, and cornstarch.
2️⃣ Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
3️⃣ Remove from heat and add vanilla.
4️⃣ Let cool before serving with the chilled sagu.
