🥔 Cassava, also known as yuca, is a staple ingredient in Brazilian cuisine. Its creamy texture pairs beautifully with sardines 🐟, sweet corn 🌽, and rich Catupiry-style cheese 🧀, creating a delicious baked casserole the whole family will enjoy.

1️⃣ Cook the cassava until very tender.

2️⃣ Mash the cassava and combine it with the butter, warm milk, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

3️⃣ Spread half of the purée evenly in a baking dish.

4️⃣ Layer the sardines 🐟, corn 🌽, Catupiry-style cheese 🧀, chopped eggs 🥚, and half of the green onions 🌿 over the purée.

5️⃣ Cover with the remaining cassava purée.

6️⃣ Sprinkle with grated cheese 🧀, oregano 🌿, sliced onion 🧅 (if using), and the remaining green onions.

7️⃣ Bake at 350°F (180°C) for approximately 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and lightly gratinated. 🔥
