Chocolate Pool Cake with Brigadeiro – Prova e Me Conta

In the Valentine’s spirit, Episode 21 of Prova e Me Conta was extra special. In the United States, February 14th celebrates love in all its forms — friends, family, and everyone we care about.

This time, Zion chose the cake flavor. Among carrot, orange, cornmeal, cassava, and chocolate… he went straight for the classic: chocolate. And honestly? You can’t go wrong with chocolate.

The result was a beautiful heart-shaped pool cake, filled with rich brigadeiro frosting — exactly the way kids (and adults!) love it. Because in the end, the best gift is time spent together in the kitchen, creating heart-shaped memories.

We used the convenient cake mix available at Hi Brazil Market, bringing authentic Brazilian flavor to your home — even if you’re living in the U.S.

🍫 Make the Brigadeiro

6️⃣ In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.

7️⃣ Stir over medium heat until thick and creamy.

8️⃣ Let the cake cool slightly.

9️⃣ Spoon the brigadeiro into the center, creating the “pool” effect.

💛And one last official tip from Zion:

Don’t forget to lick the bowl — it’s part of the Prova e Me Conta tradition!

Now tell us… would you have chosen chocolate too?

Prova e me conta! 💕
